About Sarcoma

A sarcoma is one of malignant tumors that can be classified as cancers like a carcinoma.

A carcinoma is a cancer that begins in a tissue that lines the inner or outer surfaces of the body, while a sarcoma is a cancer that arises in regions other than surfaces like muscle, fat, bone, vascular tissues, or nerve systems. (There are more than 30 types.)

There expected to be between 5 to 8 thousand new patients a year in Japan.
